Paintball

I gotta say that my first paintball experience was REALLY fun. The kind of fun that makes you do it again despite getting bruised all over. Yes, paintball does hurt but only for awhile. There were 12 of us. 5 girls and 7 guys. The game was obviously played a 6 on 6. There was the normal "Not fair la if we have more girls." kind of stuff. Despite that teams were divided using the picking of tooth picks. Red tipped tooth picks one team and orange another team. My 1st team had 5 guys and 1 girl. Not bad for the first picking.

Before the game, we were all asking whether we need to wear any vests or suits because non of us had any. To our surprise, vests are not required and you can actually play without shirts if wanted to! There were army suits for rent though. RM7 for some slight protection didn't sound so bad until some smart alec said "Come on! Be a man la." Fine then. No body armour. Somewhere deep down, I knew I would be introduced to a whole new spectrum of pain.

There was a safety briefing. Safety masks cannot be taken of anytime during combat in the field. Guns must be locked and safety socks put on after combat. After understanding the dos and don'ts, we got to our respective starting points. First game mode was last man standing or elimination. The objective is to, as the name suggests, eliminate evryone on the opposing team. We have 5 minutes to do so. We played LMS for the first two games. The third and fourth game was capture the flag. The fifth and last game was counter strike mode. Terrorists stay in the house and the counter terrorists have to eliminate evryone in the house. That was the craziest mode ever! As the counter terrorists, you could not see who is in the house as it was really dark inside. The terrorists were happily shooting from inside. And by the last game, when we switched sides, we had limited amount of bullets left, the opening of the game wasn't very noisy. But it was fun after that because some, like me, who ran out of bullets just kept shooting air jusy to scare the CS team off!

By the end of all six games, it had started to rain heavily followed by a thunder strom. We all started counting how many times we got shot. I had a total body shot count of 20. 6 in the arms; 3 on each arm. 8 in the torso. 6 in the legs; 2 on the left and 4 on the right. Got shot in the same place twice. Now that bloody hurts. Got shot in the eye and mouth once. Saved by the mask of course. I definitely had a lot of fun. I mean, it's not everyday you shoot your college counselor!

The guy in red is Andrew. He shot me in the same place twice.

This is what happens when you get shot twice in the same place.

I'm definitely playing again. =P

Surprise!!

Bhavani and James' surprise birthday party was awesome. Many thanks to Bethany's family for allowing us to trash your house for the party and Michael, for the food, drinks and cake. I definitely had a good time. Too good actually.

We arrived early at Beth's house since it was a surprise party. I gotta say Beth had really outdone herself this time. THe balloons, music and the table!OMG the table was awesome. I wouldn't have thought of doing something like that. Anyways, the surprise part was rather funny because there was a false alarm and some unexpected guests like the pizza guy. He arrived when we were all hiding! At last, we did pull the surprise of. However the real surprise was that Bhavani's boyfriend was there. I guess James had a surprise too because he was all dressed up to go clubbing. He flew in from somewhere just for the party.

James making speech. We love you too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU GUYS!!

What's a party without alcohol? Michael had that all covered. Two bottles of Dewars white label and a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin. Like in most parties, the birthday boy and girl had to down a glass of whatever alcohol that was available. And that's exactly what they did. 10 seconds worth of alcohol in one go. As you can see, both had no problem downing the drink.

At the end of the night, I gotta say at least half of us were wasted. That's what I call a real party. Thanks to some friends I managed to get back in one piece. Now all that's left is the hangover to pass. I'll never get wasted again. Never.

Went for the Resonate service in SIBKL with Sheep United (That's the name of the cell group that I'm in). James (Head Sheep) picked me for the event. Arrived early for the prayer. Then did a little study. Yeah, go to church and bring your psychology text book with you. Anyways, Resonate service was awesome with an equally great sermon on Hanging Out With God.

Stage before service

Stage during Kidzone performance

Stage during P&W. Gotta love the lighting.

Service ended at around 7. Then dinner!! Haiyo, I was super hungry. I kinda got hungry in the middle of the sermon. Talk about distraction. Anyways, dinner was roast duck in Uptown/Damansara Utama. Food was great and the fellowship was even more great. Goodness! I didn't know Melody can eat! She'd tapau all the other girls in an eating competition.Lol. Had a chance to scare the rest with spoilers for the movie 4BIA.

Sheep United rocks! Gonna hang out with God now. =P
